The helpful staff at Miamisburg welcomes you to the brand new state-of-the-art building. The Branch staff specializes in support for emerging literacy, technology assistance, and support for local historians and genealogists. Every month our Children and Teen Services Librarians conduct hundreds of programs that keep kids engaged in learning activities, from preschool storytimes to computer coding for teens. For patrons who would like one-on-one assistance, Staff members are available to meet with you individually.
In a community equal parts history and new growth, the Miamisburg Branch Library has developed important partnerships to enhance the education, business development, and recreation potential of the area. The Branch works closely with the City of Miamisburg, Rotary Club of Miamisburg, Miamisburg Merchants Association, Bike-Friendly Business, Miamisburg Kindergarten Readiness Coalition, Mound Museum of Science and Energy, Miamisburg Middle School, and Miamisburg High School to deliver high-quality, innovative, and imaginative programming to residents.
The first Library in Miamisburg was a Carnegie building, opened in 1909. It wasn’t until 1966 that the Miamisburg Library affiliated with the Dayton Library system. The previous Miamisburg Branch opened in 1981, but under the Libraries for a Smarter Future project, the Miamisburg community is enjoying a brand new Library that opened in February of 2017.
