The branch is staffed with a Children’s Librarian, a Teen Librarian, Technical/ Reference Assistant and three service desk staff members as well as Library Aides who shelve materials. We provide services, materials and programming for all ages.
Small in size, but large in heart, the citizens of New Lebanon have come to rely on the New Lebanon Branch Library for excellent programming and creative partnerships that deliver much needed resources to residents. The Branch staff works closely with the local school system, the Ministerial Association, the New Lebanon Chamber and Community Action Mission Program (CAMP) to support community projects that enhance quality of life in the city.
In the early 1950s, New Lebanon had only a small library in a private home. By 1957 the New Lebanon Branch joined the Dayton system. Now it is housed in a newly constructed facility, which opened July 2016. The New Lebanon Branch Library features additional space and parking, a “Places You’ll Go” Children’s Area and three beautiful art installations created specifically for the New Lebanon Branch Library by area artists.
